If you owed money to the State of Connecticut or if you have returns that are late and have not yet been filed, you were able to save some money with the Connecticut Amnesty Program. The state will accept payment of only the taxes owed and 25% of the interest normally charged for any delinquent taxes (for tax periods due before November 30, 2012). The State will waive all penalties and will not pursue criminal prosecution for the unfiled returns or unpaid taxes.
