Connecticut has certainly taken a beating. For those who have filed an extension to October 15th (that was extended to October 31st on account of Hurricane Irene) to file their Connecticut state income taxes well… that deadline has now been extended to November 15th 2011.
Due to the severe impact of ice storm Alfred and the state’s pending request for federal disaster declaration, Department of Revenue Services (DRS) Commissioner Kevin B. Sullivan today said that certain tax filings and payments would be extended to November 15, 2011. Commissioner Sullivan said, “After consultation with Governor Malloy, I am announcing that the deadline for all Connecticut tax filings or payments due on or after October 30, 2011 is extended to November 15, 2011. Given the unprecedented extent of this storm, especially the power outages affecting homes and businesses across the state, this extension is only fair.”
